PysankyUSA's Angel's Dust©, Medias, Special Brushes, and Tools.
PysankyUSA's Angel's Dusts© are pure metallic and pearl powders, that must be mixed into painting mediums. Get ready to see the highest level of metallic and pearl luster on the market.
Note, to protect your pysanky dyes you MUST spray dyed areas with matt spray before use of the Angel's Dust, if you do not protect the dyed areas they will run, or bleed. Also by using a matte spray such as Krylon Matte product, if a mistake is made it can easily be removed without disturbing the original work. Also when working over a gloss finish, to add a metallic, by respraying it with matt spray, it will give the area a 'tooth' to grab on to the metallic color and not bead up. once the color is in place and dry, the design may be re glossed.
The Angel's Dust© brushes have a flat mini palette knife built into the ends, ideal for mixing small amounts of Angel's Dust© into medias.
Beside PysankyUSA's medias, Angel's Dusts© may also be mixed into small amounts of varnish (it is always wise to test the brand of varnish that you are using first)
Angels Dust may be mixed with PysankyUSA's Ultra Clear Beeswax for metallic or pearl leave on drop pull designs.
Once mixed with medias, Angel's Dust© should be used up, they will not store well, that is why it is wise to mix small amounts. You may also use a hair dryer set on low to aid in drying the product.
Angel's Dust© may also be mixed with 5 min. epoxy, then using the new scratch needle tools, this mix may be used to create 'faux closonne' (raised enamel look design). Please remember to wipe down needle tip as soon as finished using for the epoxy mix. The epoxy mix can not be saved, and should only be made in small amounts at a time.
I mix Angel's Dust© and water based medias on a piece of aluminum foil, that way if I take a break I fold the foil over to protect from dirt and air. When finished, I fold over the foil and propperly dispose of it. Use caution around small children and pets.
When using PysankyUSA medias remember , they are soap and water clean up, always wash and rinse your brush after each use.
