Dried egg shaped gourd for wax and dye batik work, extra small 3 5/8"- 4" tall.
Egg gourds work just like duck eggs. You must use dye progression, working from light to dark, and if using green or blue, carefully hand paint in those areas and wax over. Use VERY LIGHT pencil lines, or student grade watercolor pencils to draw design. You may unwax in 175 F degree oven and blot melted wax. Do not rub hard. You may finish wiping any wax residue up with facial tissue and lighter fluid/mineral spirits. Varnish with solvent based spray of your choice. (I like Golden MSA hard solvent-based spray varnish with UVLS)
